The CROSS Neutron Science and Technology Center was establieshed in 2011 in Tokai, Ibaraki Prefecture.
The center collaborates with research institutions both in Japan and abroad, private companies, and local communities to promote the use of neutron beams at the Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility (MLF) at J-PARC.
Its mission is to contribute to the advancement of science and technology through these collaborative efforts.
At MLF of J-PARC, 21 neutron beamlines are currently in operation.
Of these, the following 7 were established by the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) and are operated as shared facilities available for collaborative use by researchers from both Japan and overseas.
