Establishment of the Vacuum Science Institute Foundation (the predecessor of CROSS)

June 1998

A Progressive Reorganization from the Vacuum Science Institute Foundation to the Comprehensive Research Organization for Science and Society (CROSS)

2008

Completion of J-PARC: A Turning Point for CROSS’s New Business Development

April 2010

Establishment of the Tokai Operations Center, (the predecessor of the Neutron Science and Technology Center)

February 2011

Application Submitted by CROSS for Designation as a Registered Institution

March 2011

CROSS designated as a Registered Institution

April 2011

Utilization Promotion Activities Commenced as a Registered Institution at the Tokai Operations Center

2016

Tokai Operations Center renamed to the Neutron Science and Technology Center
