    Scope

The workshop is held under the patronage of the International Society for Sample Environment (ISSE) and will focus on two main topics:
  • Sample environment at neutron scattering facilities
  • Sample environment at synchrotron radiation facilities
  • The realization of complex setups for the investigation of gaseous, liquid and solid samples in different physical and chemical environments as well as its standardization and modularity are core elements of large scale facilities to collect valuable data with high efficiency, precision and reliability in limited beamtime periods.
The 11th International Workshop on Sample Environment at Scattering Facilities will be held in Nasu, Japan.
Nasu is one of the most popular resort towns in Japan. It stands in beautiful mountains, and there are hot springs. You will be relaxed and refreshed to stay there.
We are planning to visit J-PARC (neutron and muon facility)(Tokai), JRR-3 (neutron facility)(Tokai), and Photon Factory (synchrotron radiation facility)(Tsukuba) to bring together the sample environment communities of neutron and synchrotron science.
This is the first time for this series of the international workshop to be held in Asia.
We are looking forward to seeing many of interested people from science, engineering and industry to exchange new ideas and to intensify international cooperation.
