About the School

Location and Venues

The 7th AONSA Neutron School / 3rd MLF School will be hosted by the Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility (MLF) of the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC). J-PARC is located in Tokai Village on the Japanese Pacific coast about 130 km northeast of Tokyo.

Lectures will be held at the newly completed J-PARC Research Building located adjacent to the MLF.

The practical components will take place at the beamlines and associated facilities within the MLF.

Eligibility

The School is open to postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows and early-career researchers from the Asia-Oceania region.

Maximum Enrollment

Enrollment in the School will be limited to forty (40) participants. In principle, twenty (20) applications from Japan and twenty (20) from overseas will be accepted.

Registration

A fee of 40,000 JPY will be charged for each School participant. The registration page will be open soon.

Meals

Registration fee covers full board throughout the course starting with the dinner (welcome party) on Tuesday, December 1 and finishing with lunch on Saturday, December 5.

Accommodation

The school reserved a block of rooms at Tokai Dormitory closed to J-PARC from Nov. 30 to Dec. 5. The room charge will be covered by the school. If you plan to stay there before/after the school, please reserve the room individually via KEK user page.
