Eligibility

Graduate students, post-graduate students, inexperienced researchers who are interested in, but have limited or no experience with neutron and muon beam based techniques.

Note: Prospective participants must be certified as radiation workers at their institute prior to attending the school.

Maximum EnrollmentEnrollment in the School will be limited to forty (40) participants. In principle, more than half of participants from overseas will be accepted.
ContentsIntroductory lectures on neutron and muon sciences and the application of neutron and muon beams in research. The curriculum also has courses of hands-on experience using the MLF instruments and instruction in data analysis.
Registration feeJPY 30,000
This fee includes room charge and full board throughout the School (for detail, see below).
  • Meals
    Registration fee covers full board throughout the course starting with breakfast on Thursday, 16 Nov. and finishing with lunch on Monday, 20 Nov.
  • Accommodation
    The school reserved a block of rooms at Tokai Dormitory closed to J-PARC from Nov. 15 to 20, for five nights. The room charge will be covered by the school.

Financial SupportThe school organizers may provide limited financial support to the participants from developing countries depending on the availability of funds. Applicants who request financial support should write a message in the application form. For more details, kindly contact school office.
