CROSS-Tokai "Trial Use" Beamline Access System – Information Days
A key component of the CROSS-Tokai mission is to promote the use of, and facilitate access to, the neutron Public Beamlines at J-PARC MLF. In addition to providing information and a consultation service, CROSS-Tokai is always looking for new ways to assist potential users. With this motivation, CROSS-Tokai now offers the "Trial Use" access system aimed at helping and encouraging first time and novice users of neutron beam facilities.
The "Trial Use" system offers to new users complete support in all aspects of beamline use including:
- Instrument capabilities and selection
- Proposal preparation
- Experiment design and planning
- Data analysis and interpretation
At these Information Days, members of the CROSS-Tokai research team will be on hand to answer questions relating to neutron beam techniques, instrumental capabilities, and the applicability of these to research problems. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity!
Meeting Program
Information about the "Trial use" access system and the neutron Public Beamlines at J-PARC MLF will be presented in a series of posters. At each poster an expert will be in attendance to assist with explanations, answer questions and solve problems. In addition, staff will also be on hand at the display to provide information about the beamtime access process and the range of services offered by CROSS-Tokai.
